💡 The Ministry of Education (MOE) in Taiwan is offering a scholarship program for international students who are interested in learning Taiwan’s local languages (other than Mandarin), such as Hokkien, Hakka, Indigenous languages, and Taiwanese Sign Language.
This program supports international students in developing a deeper understanding of Taiwan's local linguistic and cultural heritage.
🎓 Scholarship Options:
💰 Monthly Scholarship:

Amount: NT$28,000 per month

Duration: 3 to 6 months

For international students coming to Taiwan to study a local language

Visa type must be FS (language study purpose)

Applicants must not already be residing or studying in Taiwan
🧑🎓 Semester-Based Tuition Support:

Amount: NT$10,000 per semester

For international students currently enrolled in a Taiwanese university

Must complete at least 2 credits in a local language course

Cultural courses are not eligible

Maximum of 2 semesters
🟩 Eligibility:

18 years or older

Enrolled in a university (in Taiwan or abroad)

Good academic standing and conduct

Not currently receiving other scholarships from the Taiwanese government
