Student Ambassador put them in the schedule, intending to create an unforgettable experience for those have different religious culture and tradition. On October 22, a big surprise for both the SA members and participants is encountering the pilgrimage of God. The sound of firecrackers and suona horns crash into ears from every direction. The air was full of smoke and the debris of burned firecrackers. “It was messy, but I had a lot of fun. This is what I want to experience in Taiwan. I enjoy the culture that is so different from mine popping out everywhere,” according to one of the exchange student. Even Taiwanese students are surprised by their own culture. In fact, Cultural Trip is not only holding for exchange students but also for Taiwanese students. One of the main purposes of NCUSA is to “enhance the communication between Taiwanese and exchange students.” Through the Cultural Trip, Taiwanese students and exchange students get to know more about each other’s culture.
I ask an ambassador why she wants to go to Cultural Trip and her feelings after that. “Because I want to make friends with people from different countries and learn their culture. Also, I hope that they could see the beauty of Taiwan and fall in love with it. Who can be more suitable than SA to do this? We all come together for this purpose.” After the trip, many students still have contact with each other and SA. Besides sightseeing, friendship is what SA pursues. It is wonderful to see so many positive and great responses from the participants. “Thank you, Student Ambassador. I had a great time. And don’t forget me,” said one of the exchange students. Great success, Student Ambassador! All the students are expecting next wonderful cultural experience from your one and only trip.
